Auria's Malaysian Kitchen

Malaysian sambal, handmade in Queens

Malaysia’s Sambal Traditions

Sambal is a cornerstone of Malaysian cooking: a chile-based condiment layered with aromatics, acidity, sweetness, and deep savoriness. Auria’s Malaysian Kitchen brings that everyday Malaysian flavor to American tables through sambals inspired by founder Auria Abraham’s childhood in Seremban. The brand began after her Brooklyn supper clubs introduced diners to the range of Malaysian cuisine. Its sauces have since earned multiple sofi Awards, helping make Malaysian pantry traditions more visible in the United States.

Seremban Flavors, New York Grit

Auria Abraham was born and raised in Seremban, Malaysia, where food, family, and bold condiments shaped her palate. After moving to New York, she began sharing Malaysian dishes through an underground Brooklyn supper club in 2011. Market customers soon asked to take her sambal home, leading her to launch the company in 2013. Her work turns personal food memories into a growing Malaysian-made-in-America pantry brand.

Small Batches, Fresh Aromatics

Auria’s sambals are handmade in small batches in Queens using fresh chiles and aromatics, traditional Malaysian flavor-building, and careful cooking for balance. Hot Chilli Sambal delivers a savory, concentrated chile base, while Mango Sambal adds tropical fruit brightness. The sauces are designed as true pantry workhorses: condiments, marinades, cooking sauces, and quick ways to layer Malaysian flavor into everyday meals.
