KESSHŌ

Asian flavors crystallized in craft chocolate

East Meets West in Chocolate

KESSHŌ blends Asian ingredients with Western confectionery forms, using chocolate as a portal into flavors such as black sesame, matcha, hojicha, lychee, rose, and ube. The name means “crystal” in Japanese, a reference both to chocolate’s crystalline structure and to the reward of careful work. Its internationally recognized bars and confections show how cultural fusion can be precise, personal, and rooted in real ingredients.

Bean-to-Bar Precision in Austin

KESSHŌ selects organic cacao and crafts chocolate in its boutique Austin factory, controlling the process from bean to finished confection. Its Black Sesame Butter Cups pair a shell made with Indian black sesame and organic cacao butter with sunflower butter and aromatic Taiwanese sesame powder. Raw honey adds measured sweetness, while the recipe remains nut-free and contains no preservatives or unnecessary additives.
