Vietnamese Coffee Bridges Past and Present

Little Green Cyclo began as a Bay Area Vietnamese food truck and grew into a company devoted to the true taste of Vietnam. Its coffees use the slow-dripped phin tradition, then explore formats such as coconut, ube, and sparkling passion fruit. The Classic cà phê sữa đá won a 2021 sofi Award, followed by Coconut Mocha in 2022—the first back-to-back wins in the ready-to-drink coffee and tea category.

Monica and Quynh Build Connection

Co-founders Monica Wong and Quynh Nguyen brought different paths to the same table. Monica grew up around her family’s first Chinese restaurant in downtown Boston before spending two decades in finance. Quynh grew up in Saigon, traveled Vietnam as a national-level table-tennis player, and later became a chef. In 2010 they launched one of the Bay Area’s first gourmet Vietnamese food trucks, then expanded that creative bridge into coffee.
