Tochi Snacks

Singaporean flavors powering better-for-you popcorn

Singaporean Comfort, Popped for Everyone

Tochi means “land,” a name that points back to the founders’ homeland and the flavors they missed. Salted egg popcorn draws on a beloved savory-sweet snack profile found across Singapore and Southeast Asia, layering creamy yolk richness with salt and umami. The brand’s wider outlook was shaped by Singaporean food culture, where Peranakan cooking and shared snacks carry family history. Tochi turns those memories into functional, approachable snacks meant for anyone curious about Asian flavors, without stripping away the tastes that made them meaningful.

Tochi Snacks founding team

Three Founders Share Homeland Flavor

Ian Seah was born and raised in Singapore on his grandmother’s Peranakan cooking. His brother Marc grew up sharing—and sometimes losing—snacks with Ian, while Dina Shi remembers wanting healthier Asian snacks during hundred-hour weeks in banking. Together, Ian, Dina, and Marc built Tochi as a way to make the flavors they missed easier to find and easier to share. Their different entry points—family recipes, sibling ritual, and the search for a better workday snack—meet in a brand that treats nostalgia as fuel for modern products.
