Origins
Gochiso’s Umma’s Mix is an East Asian-inspired snack mix centered on gochujang, Korea’s fermented chile paste. “Umma” means mom in Korean, and the flavor traces to meals co-founder Brandon’s mother made at home. Gochiso—drawn from the Japanese phrase “gochiso-sama,” an expression of gratitude after a meal—builds its snacks around family recipes and shared tables.
